Completed in July 2016, premiered in October 2016 at the 2016 Youth Music Festival. The theme for the night was "Music of life, including living ones and ghosts." The youngest performer for this song was 12 and the oldest was 15, although I believe the youngest performer of the entire night was 7.

Program notes:
Driftwood is what remains of trees, which were once alive. Though they may somehow ended up out at sea, the trees themselves once breathed life for others. This music is a metaphor that follows the
journey the Driftwood has taken out at sea, representing the process of accepting death and then celebrating the life that once was. It is complacent, and flows like water, growing like waves until
coming to shore at the end.
