Driftwood is what remains of trees, which were once alive. Though they may somehow ended up out at sea, the trees themselves once breathed life for others. This music is a metaphor that follows the journey the Driftwood has taken out at sea, representing the process of accepting death and then celebrating the life that once was. It is complacent, and flows like water, growing like waves until coming to shore at the end.
